Jacquie Cahill will join Allied Bakeries, one of the three divisions of Allied Milling and Baking, which in turn is part of Associated British Foods plc. from London, UK, on 1st September 2011 as Supply Chain Director. Cahill will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, reporting to company CEO Mark Fairweather, and will work across a wide range of projects including Project Athena, an investment initiative launched earlier this year, which aims to improve business performance by delivering unrivalled customer service. Cahill replaces Paul Longley, who will be retiring from Allied Bakeries after 37 years of service at the end of September. The appointment sees a return to the bakery industry for Cahill, who previously worked at Allied Bakeries as Supply Chain Development Manager between May 2005 and September 2007, before leaving to take on the role of Global Supply Director at pharmaceutical giant, AstraZeneca.
